No matter what we say we know about Gate City you all will continue to call us liars. I do have proof. I know a lot of those boys who go to Gate City live in Tennessee. I would be willing to say 3/4 of Gate City High School students are from Tennessee. Just a rough estimate there GC Quinto.
By the way, yes, Dockery did have a rough game the other night. The kid is still going to have a great year on the diamond though!!! GO BIG RED!!!

I gotta question that. Just for fun one day when I had to go to Kingsport, I drove by the school and in the student parking area, there was definitely more than 12 vehicles with TN tags.

It doesn't matter where a student lives as long as he/she establishes their eligibility at a VA school on the first day of school starting their 9th grade year. I believe that GC had a player sit out one year because he didn't move and transferred last year. I guess that the boys from Volunteer physically moved or otherwise they should have been ineligable. A player could live in KY and transfer to Pound just the same way as living in TN and transferring to a VA school such as GC, RC, TS, Va. High, or JSB.

I don't think anybody is really saying that they are there illegally, just that there is quite a few from outside of their area. If there was only 12 who lived in TN, there wouldn't be that many TN cars, unless people are strange and register their car in a state that they don't live, which would at least to me cause them to be taxed and taxes again [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
There is however no way its 3/4 or whatever the % was given.
I've seen people do that before Rock. I knew a guy who lived near Natural Tunnel with TN plates. Of course, they don't have an income tax either though.
